Sat 7th May - Natural Paints..

This course will cover understanding surfaces and materials, earth pigments, making paints with lime, clay and milk, and practical uses for glazes and waxes. Participants will leave with a good working practical knowledge of what paints and finishes to use where, as well as how to make and apply them. Pam MacDonald has been a decorator, designer and lecturer for twenty years and in 2000, established The Natural Decorating Company based in Bristol. She also helped set up The Natural Paint Store in Bath. Pam lives and works in south Devon and has taught courses for various organizations including Lili, The Weald and Downland Museum, Sussex and Ecos Trust and lectures for The Green Register, Homes For Good, and Ecobuild, among others.

There will be theory, discussion and plenty of hands-on practical work.

The course is suitable for all.
